Your team isn't failing because of bad ideas.

They're failing because good ideas keep getting lost between the strategy deck and the people responsible for delivering it.

WHY THIS PROGRAM EXISTS

Strategy without execution is just a good intention.

After nearly 30 years working inside and alongside organisations as a marketer, a GM and a consultant, I've watched the same thing happen more times than I can count.

A leadership team spends two days getting aligned on strategy. Everyone leaves the room nodding. Six weeks later the marketing team is running campaigns that don't connect to the objective, the briefs are unclear, the stakeholders are frustrated, and nobody can pinpoint where it went wrong.

It went wrong in the translation. The step between "here is our strategy" and "here is what we are doing on Monday" is the most important step in execution - and it is almost never done well.

This program fixes that step.

"If you can't explain it clearly, you can't execute it."

THE PROGRAM

Silver Paper Airplane

From Strategy to Action: Marketing That Actually Executes

A practical one-day working session for marketing teams, leaders and anyone responsible for turning plans into results. Built around the Logical Planner -- a structured thinking tool that takes a strategic objective and breaks it into clear, prioritised, actionable work.

This is not a theory session. Participants bring real work and leave with something clearer than they arrived with.

Already delivered for corporate marketing teams, professional services firms and cross-functional groups navigating complex planning environments. Fully tailored to your organisation and your team's real challenges.

Who this is for

Marketing Teams

Teams responsible for planning and executing marketing activity who are tired of campaigns that feel disconnected from the strategy and briefs that go back and forth without resolution.

Marketing Leaders

Senior marketers and heads of marketing who need their team to operate with more discipline, clearer direction and less reliance on them to translate every decision into action.

Cross-Functional Teams

Mixed groups including finance, operations, HR or commercial teams who need to understand how marketing decisions get made and how to brief and evaluate marketing work more effectively.

Professional Services Firms

Firms where marketing is done by people who are also doing everything else, and where the ability to plan clearly and brief well is the difference between marketing that builds something and marketing that just keeps the lights on.

WHAT WE COVER

Six practical modules, built around your real work.

Where strategy goes to die: Why good plans fail between strategy and execution, and the four breakdowns that cause it almost every time.

From Objective to Action - The Planning Framework: Using the Logical Planner to take a strategic objective and break it into clear, prioritised, actionable work. The structural core of the day.

The Brief - your most important communication tool: How to write briefs that get the work right the first time, and how to give feedback that improves rather than confuses.

Aligning stakeholders before the work starts: The conversations that need to happen upstream so execution doesn't stall, reverse or blow up midway through.

Communicating your plan - making it land: How to present a marketing plan for a decision, not just a download. Applying the Logical Planner to stakeholder presentations.

From the room to real life - making it stick: Converting the day's learning into a concrete commitment and a plan participants actually leave with.

WHAT YOU GET

Participants will learn

01

A planning framework they can use immediately

A planning framework they can use immediately Not a concept to think about later. A structured tool they have already applied to real work before they leave the room.

02

A clearer version of what they are working on now

Every participant brings a real brief, plan or campaign. They work on it across the day and leave with something sharper than they arrived with.

03

The language to explain decisions to stakeholders

How to present a plan, a brief or a prioritisation call in a way that gets endorsement rather than endless feedback.

04

A shared team approach to planning and execution

When a whole team goes through this together, they leave with a common language and a shared way of working that outlasts the day itself.

THE DETAIL

From Strategy to Action: Marketing That Actually Executes

The program is delivered as a full-day face-to-face session for groups of 6 to 14 participants. Sessions are tailored to your organisation's context, your team's real challenges and the specific planning or execution problems you are navigating right now.

Pre-session: participants are asked to bring a current brief, plan or campaign they are working on. This becomes their practice vehicle across the day.

Available in Melbourne and across Australia. Virtual delivery available for distributed teams.

If your team is doing good work that isn't landing, this conversation is overdue.

Let's talk about what execution clarity looks like for your team, and what it would take to build it in a day.
